The Ocean house Writing Retreat

This relaxing 7-night 6-day retreat includes a 5-day workshop and one free day to spend at your leisure at the privately owned Ocean House Villa  “Pipeline House” on the North Shore of Oahu. A breathtaking beachside retreat, Pipeline House overlooks Sunset Beach's world famous surf wave, the Banzai Pipeline, where the World Surf Championships are held every year. WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

From January 15 -22, 2010, this retreat is designed for all writers -- beginning to advanced -- who want to venture into new territory and create, or at least begin, new work. With only 6 participants this workshop provides a great opportunity for those eager to stretch or cross the boundaries of genre -- fiction writers who want to tell the truth; nonfiction writers who want to learn to lie; poets who want to try prose; prose writers curious about playwriting; screenwriters, actors and filmmakers looking to capture stories on the page; and novices primed for adventure.

COST & WHAT'S INCLUDED:

$2,000. Airfare, which is approximately $300-500 roundtrip from LAX to Honolulu, is not included. However, van transport from the airport to the house is provided.
